Scanjack & NAID to provide technical support for U.S Army demining efforts
The 28th of may a Swedish Army system for Landmine Clearance entered American soil. It is the mechanical mineclearing System “Scanjack 3500” from the Swedish Army´s Countermine Platoon in the International Engineering company. The project developed to be a American/Swedish industry and gov. cooperation.
The system will undergo extensive testing at the US Army, Night Vision Lab and these tests will be performed during this summer at the Army´s test sites.
The U.S Army will test and examine the Scanjack system to evaluate whether it can improve and minimize The US Army´s threat of Landmines in international missions.
The test programme will be supported by NAID, a U.S. Company, and Scanjack AB, a Swedish company – The developer and producer of the Scanjack 3500 Mine Clearing Vehicle.
